Toshiyuki MINAMI

Senior Advisor

Toshiyuki has been Senior Advisor since June 2023.
He entered the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (MPT, renamed as the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in 2001) in 1982 and held responsible roles in numerous projects such as the following: the privatization of Japan's postal services; regulatory policy planning/promotion of communications infrastructure; and international trade negotiations with the U.S./WTO. After retiring from his position as Councillor in the Cabinet Secretariat in 2019, he served as Advisor at Tokio Marine & Nichido. From 2020, he engaged mainly in promotion of sustainability including carbon neutral practices at NTT Docomo for 3 years, finally as Senior Executive Vice President.
Toshiyuki earned a Bachelor of Laws degree from University of Tokyo. He is a member of The Japan Society of Information and Communication Research.
